First seen in the mid 1960’s and absent from the Porsche lineup for a while, the new Targa has been given an upgrade to an automatic roof opening and closing system enabling the rear glass to lift and glide backwards in a mere 19 seconds at the touch of a button.
A 3.4-litre 6-cylinder engine accelerates the new 911 Targa 4 from 0 - 62 mph in 5.2 seconds whilst handling has been enhanced through the Porsche Traction Management system (PTM) which helps ensure the right amount of power goes to the wheels whilst the four-wheel drive system continually assess traction
The Targa's cabin is very similar to a standard 911's, with plenty of high-quality materials including leather sports seats, climate control, xenon headlights, with high-resolution 4.6-inch colour touch screen with sat-nav system and a DAB radio. The luggage space is divided into two areas with 125 litres of capacity under the bonnet, and a further 160 litres available behind the rear seats.
The Porsche 911 Targa 4 is certainly one of its more iconic versions of the German company’s high performance sports cars and is yours to experience with Avis Prestige
